Step by step instructions on setting up Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) on a mobile smart phone
Instructions
1. Confirm you have a compatible smart phone. Confirm you already setup your MFA questions. Confirm you are using a computer connected to the COB network.
2. Open a browser, go to: https://mfa.city-buffalo.com/SecureAuth998/
3. Enter your user name and password. (This will be your sign-on to your work computer)
4. Setup Two-Factor Authentication with Scan Code. Download SecureAuth Application
4a. Open Authenticate App on your device and Scan Barcode using QR Code Method
5 You will receive code on your phone, enter code on device. Registration for device complete.
