Remote Desktop Access to City of Buffalo Resources
- For New Users Only - Navigate to url below to change City password
- https://rdsremote.city-buffalo.com/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/Default.aspx
- Enter Domain\username + Password
Click to change expired password.


- Enter Old password. Set New Ten character password that includes “Upper, lower, numbers and/or special characters. Confirm new password below.

SecureAuth Multi-Factor Use Self Service Enrollment
- Open Internet Browser (ex. Chrome) go to:
https://mfa.city-buffalo.com/SecureAuth2/
- Enter your username and email password.
This will be sign-on username and password to your City email account.
- Please select any 6 knowledge-based questions. All 6 questions are required.

- When all 6 questions have been completed, please hit update button on top of screen. Register is completed.

1. For Existing Users: Login to Remote Desktop Services using url below to access City of Buffalo resources.

- Click RDS Desktop

- Launch remote session from browser or downloads folder.


- Checkbox to never show again and click Connect.

- Choose More Choices -

- Use a different account.

- Enter: domain\username + password. Click OK.


- Click OK


- Enter answers for security questions


- Launch shortcut to published applications on Remote desktop, then authenticate with City credential.
