New Wireless Network Access Point (Wi-Fi)

Overview

Use this form to request a new Wireless Access Point (AP) connection to the City of Buffalo network in a City-owned building, which enables a laptop, PC or phone access the Internet and/or city network resources.

Who can submit this request?

  • Any City of Buffalo employee

How we process your request

Typical resolution time:

2-3 weeks

Process:

After you submit your request, MIS will:

  • Review the request
  • Determine the best location for the new Access Point (AP) connection
  • Install the new Access Point
  • Send a closeout notification upon resolution

Before you submit a ticket, you will need to:

  • Determine the installation location (building) of the new AP connection
  • Provide additional information about exact physical location/room where AP connection is to be installed
