Report a Cisco Jabber (Softphone) Issue

Overview

Use this form to report an issue with Cisco Jabber, the City's softphone solution. A softphone is a software program for making telephone calls over the Internet using a general purpose computer rather than a dedicated desk phone.

Note: A technician will make a determination whether or not they can resolve your issue remotely. Diagnosing and resolving the issue may require you to bring in your laptop/PC to MIS (City Hall 1201).

Process:

After you submit your request, MIS will:

  • Review the request
  • Contact you for further information, if necessary
  • Determine if the issue can be diagnosed/resolved remotely or if the laptop/PC needs to be brought in for resolution
  • Examine/diagnose the problem, and troubleshoot until resolution
  • Send a closeout notification upon resolution

Before you submit a ticket, you will need to

  • Provide the phone number or extension of the affected phone
  • Explain the issue with as much detail as possible for quick resolution
